Overall view of Belles on the Bluff

What type of wedding does your venue work best for?

Belles on the Bluff invites you to spend one of the most important days of your life with us, at the edge of GreenBluff, overlooking Spokane! Our venue is perfect for the bride who wants to be outside of the city but also wants the elegance of a sprawling estate. We have a fully enclosed three-story barn made of stone and cedar, creating an ample space to enjoy dinner and dancing but to also come in out of the weather if needed. The paved road creates easy access, while valet parking and an entry gate ensure that the day is top-notch and secure. Add to that the 10 acres to wander around, the tennis courts, kids' playground, private bridal carriage house and groom stables, as well as the upstairs private rooms for the family. It is a venue that appeals to all!

What makes your venue unique?

Anybody that has driven past our place on GreenBluff knows our property. We are that sprawling estate with the glorious barn and silo sitting on the edge of the Bluff. The owners for years have received notes in their mailbox from brides begging to get married here. And how could you not want to? Now, finally, we have the privilege of opening it up to all! You might want to get married here just so that you can go inside and see the place. =)

Do you have a ceremony location?

The ceremony takes place at the edge of the bluff. Your guests will drop off their car, then walk past the tennis courts and the manor towards the edge of the bluff. They will find farm benches to sit on and enjoy the amazing 180 degree view while they wait for you to arrive to take your place under the rustic arbor. After the ceremony, they will stroll back towards the huge event barn and tented area for an evening of family, friendship and fun.

What is the capacity of your venue?

We can hold hundreds of guests, but like all other venues in the county, we are required to limit the number to 200 people. We can hold 180 comfortably inside the barn, 200 tighter quarters.

What are your catering guidelines?

We are very flexible when it comes to catering. You are welcome to bring in your own caterer of choice as long as they are licensed and bus tables for you! We set up an area for caterers and they do have access to water and electricity but there are no dishwashing facilities, stoves or ovens. We also provide a freezer and refrigerator.

What is your advice for couples planning their wedding?

When it comes to planning your wedding, always pick your venue right away and get that booked! Saturdays in July and August tend to book out the year before the wedding. If you can flex and get married on a Friday or Sunday, you will often find that discounted rates are available. My perfect time for a wedding is somewhere around 3 or 3:30pm. That allows you for a wonderfully slow morning for getting ready as well as for a long reception before the venue needs to close at 9pm. The county has decreed that all county weddings need to have music off by 9pm. Be aware of that no matter where you book as the county is beginning to crack down on that law as of last year and the last thing you want is to find that out last minute and have to change your whole wedding day! The next thing to book is your photographer. The best ones are booked way in advance, so find your favorite right away and lock them in. Surrounding yourself with wonderful personnel is so important for your wedding day. They should be efficient, capable and able to take charge but friendly and gracious.

What is included in your packages?

At Belles on the Bluff we have no hidden or add-on fees. We include all your furniture, such as farm tables, chiavari chairs, farm benches and rustic tables for bar and guest book. We also include canopies for catered area and you can rent out our big one. The bride has her very own bridal carriage house with a living room, bedroom, full kitchen and private bath. She has her own garage for parking and putting all of her things as well as a private patio out back, away from all the hustle and bustle. The groom has three stable rooms to use. One room has a poker table, another has a pool table and the third is a dressing room. Outside their stable rooms is a private covered awning with chairs for relaxing. Upstairs in the barn is a huge private room for the extended family to hang out while awaiting guests. It has crazy views out towards Mt Spokane and also towards North Spokane. The tennis court is available for use as well as the playground. It will help keep the little kids entertained! We include white linens for the tables, although most people prefer not to cover up the beautiful farm tables. A day of wedding coordinator is provided for you, too. She is available for questions or help prior to your wedding, will meet with you 60 days before your wedding to go over every last detail and help you think through everything. The coordinator will then run your rehearsal as well as your wedding day so that you can relax and enjoy, knowing someone has your back completely to do exactly what you asked for during the planning stages. Finally, we have a planning booklet that you receive when you book. This will be a huge help as you plan your day as it gives you diagrams for the venue, lots of FAQs, walks you through your whole wedding and really helps you. Included in that booklet are lots of items that you can borrow free of charge, including shepherds hooks, jars, log bases, vases, signs, etc.

What is the price range of your venue?

We have two price points listed under "pricing and details." The first includes everything mentioned above. The second is all-inclusive, which adds alcohol, food, photographer and DJ. It just takes the headache out of it and gives you the best out there!

We very much look forward to talking with you and helping you have the most memorable of all wedding days! With over 25 years of wedding experience, we are confident that we can help your day run as smoothly as possible. Here's to you and your amazing wedding day!
